Northport Greenway & Sika Cycle Trail

The Northport Greenway and Sika Cycle Trail have been created in joint partnership between Greenlink, Dorset County Council, Tomorrow´s Heathland Heritage, The Forestry Commission and Purbeck Heritage.

The Northport Greenway runs for just over 1.5 miles and provides a safe cycling or walking route from Wareham quay, through the quiet streets of the town, past the railway station, through Northmoor Park and onto Wareham Forest, where is then links with the Sika Cycle Trail. The route is waymarked with a G symbol and Dorset County Council have improved parts of the route by installing lighting, signage, crossings and surfaces.

The Sika Cycle Trail runs for approx 7 miles around Wareham Forest. The trail follows tracked routes through the forest and heath. It is generally flat with a couple of inclines and is suitable for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Simply follow the numbered posts around the route. The route is linked to The Northport Greenway at its southern point.
