Sturthill Stable – Summer 2015

Farmyard fun in the heart of Dorset
Surrounded by spectacular countryside walks, a working farm and even a tennis court, Sturthill Stable (sleeps six plus baby-cot provided) offers an engaging getaway for children and adults alike.

Watch tractors chug by, make friends with the dairy cows, and walk to the bubbling stream, where those with experience can try coarse fishing. Journey to the nearby and unspoilt seaside town of Swanage, with its traditional deckchairs, a funfair and amusement arcades, or hire bikes and go cycling around Moors Valley Country Park (keeping an eye out for the Gruffalo on the Gruffalo trail).

Alternatively, sign up to a foraging course with Fore Adventure, and visit Brownsea Island – the inspiration for one of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five stories, and home to many inquisitive red squirrels.

A week’s stay, during the summer holidays, costs from £181 pp (£1,086 total).
